About Brakkenfestival

Since 1988, the Brakkenfestival has been the place where children aged 4 to 12 create unforgettable memories. Guided by enthusiastic and experienced volunteers, they can play, explore, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

 

The Brakkenfestival is a non-profit initiative, organised entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers in collaboration with a strong network of businesses and community partners. As a result, the festival is much more than just a children's event.

It brings people together, encourages volunteers to develop new skills, and provides businesses with the opportunity to make a visible contribution to a meaningful community initiative with a wide reach.

 

Our Mission

The mission of the Brakkenfestival is to provide children aged 4 to 12 from Breda and the surrounding area with a valuable, active, and enjoyable leisure experience. Through a wide variety of engaging activities, we encourage their social, educational, cultural, and physical development.

At the same time, we create an environment where volunteers can grow, collaborate, and gain valuable experience. Together with our sponsors and partners, we build an event each year that connects children, volunteers, businesses, and the local community.
